Senza titolo (dalla serie dei “Disegni”), 1964
GPC-0044
Untitled (from the Series “Disegni”)
Two sheets of drawing paper, autograph inscription
Two parts 65.4 x 51 cm each
Signed and dated on the recto of the sheet of drawing paper, upper left: “Giulio Paolini 1964”
Kunst Museum, Winterthur
Acquired in 2010, inventory no. Z.2010.20
The display suggested by the artist to the Kunst Museum Winterthur in 2010 includes two plexiglas cubes 80 x 80 x 80 cm each, placed one on top of the other and slightly askew: the lower one serves as a base, the upper one as a protective case.
In the upper cube the signed sheet should be placed in an open position and slightly askew, so that the fold is emphasized and does not appear to be completely flat (the upper part of the signed sheet can be slightly elevated so that it is propped up against the side of the case). The second sheet, also placed in an open position, must be arranged so that it is askew with respect to both the signed sheet and the sides of the case.
Alternatively, the Disegno can be displayed in a plexiglas case: height 20 cm, width and length enough to leave at least 5 cm leeway on each of the four sides.
The signed sheet should be arranged on the bottom of the display case so that it is slightly askew and in an open position, so that the fold is emphasized and does not appear to be completely flat (the signed side should be considered the recto). The second sheet must be arranged so that it is askew with respect to signed sheet.
Or, again in a museum venue, depending on the situation and what is possible: installation on a white or plexiglas base 80 x 80 x 50 cm or 80 x 80 x 80 cm, with a plexiglas case measuring 40 x 80 x 50 / 40 x 80 x 80 cm.
