Three canvases feature three different perspectival views of a painting hanging on the wall. Analogous to their position in the triptych, the two side elements offer the design of a painting viewed from the side and at a different distance, while the central one doubles the frontal vision.
The numbering in the title announces a series that continues with two successive works: Suite n. 2, a print edition executed in 1975 (GPE-0018), and Suite n. 3, 1976 (GPO-0332).
