Umbrella, colour photo print
Photo print 30 x 24 cm
Gerd de Vries Collection, Berlin
Inside the umbrella set down on the ground the image of the palm of one hand up against the light, reproduced in the colour photograph pierced by the pole, stands out against the star chart printed inside the umbrella, as if "to screen the blinding glimmering of the starry firmament".1
The title refers to the name of the Paris shop where the artist purchased the umbrella.
