A small shell is positioned at the point of origin of the spiral shell reproduced in the image applied to a piece of black card stock held down by a plexiglas sheet. The circular dynamic corresponds to the circles of the metal sphere set atop the sheet.
The elements at play seem to originate in the same point, as the title suggests, emphasizing the origin and development of a perfect form, ineffable in its fulfilment and essentialness. The title of the work does not just refer to the origin of the natural form that coincides with the genesis of a geometric figure, but, in a broader sense, it also alludes to the place that presides over the birth of the work.
