Two plaster casts of a woman’s hand, turned so that one faces downwards and the other upwards, are placed on the photographic reproduction of a round star chart held down by a plexiglas sheet (the star chart is shaped on all four sides as if it had been cut off by the edges of the plinth). The casts are topped by a sphere – consisting of four intersecting circles – holding a goniometer.
In the context of the circular dynamic that guides the whole, in which various motifs echo each other, the two hands turned in different directions seem to be holding in cosmic space the elements at play arranged in a precarious balance.
