Private collection

The Murano glass sphere holds a portrait of the artist, viewed from behind while working, as he installs one of his works at the Castello di Rivoli in 2010. Several circular images are applied to the photographic image – the detail of a planisphere and some planets – which echo the glass sphere.
The context of the installation alludes to the becoming of a work, to the research and the expectation of an accomplishment, while the constellation of the cosmic rounds is symbolically evocative of the ideal model towards which the author turns his gaze: an absolute dimension, where everything is arranged in a perfect balance.
The work was commissioned by the Associazione Amici del Castello di Rivoli as a gift to the President who was stepping down from her position.
