Several partially folded colour photographs reproducing skies – blue and at sunset – are held down between an overturned canvas and a larger primed one, viewed from the recto. The “anthology” of images alludes to the search for a possible subject in the "painting" evoked by the two large canvases, which on their part suggest a 360-degree turn that makes it possible to see all the paintings imaginable between the recto and the verso of a painting.
The same theme was developed in two other variants from the same year (GPO-0268, GPO-0269), along with which it is part of a series of eleven works with the same title (at times followed by a different date), made between 1973 and 1974 (GPO-0258, GPO-0259, GPO-0260, GPO-0262, GPO-0263, from GPO-0267 to GPO-0270, GPO-0273, GPO-0274).
