At the centre of a small primed canvas is the torn detail of a colour reproduction of the Earth, against a black background. This, in turn, is applied to a circular fragment of natural canvas, which is torn as well.
Akin to the way the image of the Earth revolves in the dark backdrop, the fragment of canvas is suspended in the empty space of the blank canvas, marking the centre of an unknown image.
