The plaster cast of an open hand in a vertical position converses with several pieces of plaster scattered all around it, suggesting the fall and loss of identity of something unknown that the hand seems unable to hold.
Broadly speaking, in the universe of Paolinian thinking, the hand is that of the artist, outstretched to possess the work that inevitably escapes it.
