A pair of eyeglasses and an hourglass with red powder, intersected one inside the other in such a way that they echo each other, are placed on a collage applied to a larger silver sheet of paper, which is, in turn, applied to a blank sheet. The collage features the drawing of a circle, outlined in pencil, that interferes with a disorderly multitude of signs made freehand, while standing out at the centre of the sheet is the drawn image of an eye, reproduced on acetate.
The ensemble of motifs linked to the semantic field of seeing, and arranged so that they converse with the perfect form of the circle, recalls the author's desire to intercept through his gaze an ideal image, which escapes every attempt at appropriation, as suggested by the uncertain pattern of signs made freehand.
In the choice of the title, the artist alludes to the relationship between the colour of the powder in the hourglass and the visual act, recalled through the eyeglasses and the image of the eye.
