A glass goblet is placed on the glass sheet of a frame arranged so that it is staggered over a sheet of drawing paper squared in pencil by a radial pattern of straight lines in between diagonals outlined in red pencil. The position of the glass coincides with the centre of the drawing, cut out and circumscribed by a goniometer with a diameter equal to that of the foot of the glass. The open compass is horizontally placed on the goblet holding a black pencil inserted in the glass in perfect balance.
Flamingo is part of a group of four works made between 1989 and 1991, given the name of an aperitif, in which a cocktail glass that differs each time serves as a pivot for a composition of elements staggered amongst themselves, which in the ensemble seek the perfect balancing point (GPO-0645, GPO-0649, GPO-0662, GPO-0687).
